Nick Saban: The guy might have the personality of a garage door, but he can coach. He's getting huge bucks – and huge results. Saturday's game at Georgia was supposed to be an SEC nail-biter. Instead, it was a yawner as the Tide rolled to a 31-0 halftime lead and cruised home. Will he become the second second-year coach to win a national title in the past three seasons (Urban Meyer did it in 2006)?
Alabama: In one day, the Tide went from SEC hopeful to SEC front-runner. They hammered Georgia, Florida lost, LSU struggled to put away Mississippi State and Auburn still can't play offense. Roll Tide, indeed.
Then from the AP article:
Alabama jumps to highest ranking in 15 years

“We played a very good team,” Georgia coach Mark Richt said. “After playing them, I’m more convinced they are one of the best teams in the country, if not the best. At least right now they are. Every challenge that’s come their way, they’ve handled with relative ease. We certainly battled out tails off to make a little game of it in the fourth quarter. But they took care of business.”

SEC honors JPW for Georgia performance
BIRMINGHAM -- The Southeastern Conference recognized Alabama quarterback John Parker Wilson as its Offensive Player of the week following his performance in the Tide's 41-30 win over Georgia in Athens.
Wilson was good on 13-of-16 passes for 205 yards and a touchdown in the victory. The win vaulted Alabama to the No. 2 spot in the AP poll.
Wilson was perfect on his first seven pass attempts while only recording one incomplete pass in the first half (10-of-11, 139 yards, TD).
The Hoover native also set the Alabama career passing yardage record in the win and now has 6,398 yards.
